ISO certification Process

SIS Certifications follows a defined path to certify their customer. It’s an uncomplicated Process.

Application

First, you need to apply for the ISO 14001 Certification Services.

Then comes determining the time duration for the ISO 14001 Certification process.

Application Review

Application review for the contract generation and selection of the auditor, Lead Auditor, and Technical Expert for the audit.
Deciding the number of Man-days.
Examining the location, site sampling, and checking the availability of resources.

Contract Review

Generating contract.
Contract review by the technical and commercial team.

Quotation/Agreement

Discuss the quotation with the applicant.

Sending an agreement to the applicant for acceptance of the quotation for ISO 14001 Certification.

Stage-I Audit

Documentation as per ISO 14001.

Site verification follows the standard guidelines.

Planning for the Stage Audit.

Conduction of Stage-I Audit.

Review

A review of the audit report.
Evaluating audit report for the closure of N.C/ Observations.
After acceptance of NC Closure, preparing for the next level, which is Stage-II Audit.

Stage-II Audit

Planning for the Stage-II Audit.
Conduction of Stage-II Audit as per ISO 14001 standard requirements.

Closure of N.C/Observations

Acceptance of the closure of N.C/observation (in some cases, with Evidences)
Receiving of full and final fee is mandatory before the issuance of the certificate.

Issuance of Certificate

The certificate is issued for one certification cycle.

Conduction of Surveillance Audit

A surveillance audit is performed based on ISO 14001 guidelines.
After Surveillance Audit, the frequency to conduct the surveillance audit to check compliance with ISO 14001 is decided.

Refusal of Certification

The issuance of ISO 14001 Certification can be refused at various stages, such as:

Inquiry Stage
If an organization is not willing to follow SIS/AB procedure.
Unavailability of the codes and standards with SIS

After Stage 1

Unpreparedness and unwillingness during stage 1 to proceed to stage 2.

After Stage 2
If major non-conformities were reported and the client could not take desired remedial actions within the prescribed time.

Surveillance
If major non-conformities were reported and the client could not take desired corrective actions within the specified time.
The audit was not conducted as per the required procedure of SIS.

Fees
Not having fee receipts at any stage of the certification cycle.
